Northwest Natural Resources Institute (NNRI) is doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19

Due to the increasing risk of exposure to the novel coronavirus and the associated respiratory illness COVD-19 in Washington State, the NNRI is taking the following steps to reduce exposure to the virus.

  1. The NNRI offices will be closed for all appointments.

  2. Staff is to work remotely in order to reduce their exposure. Phone or email will be the best way to reach them.  Staff is directed to avoid in person contact while carrying out work duties.

  3. All meetings, including NNRI board meetings, are to be conducted remotely via phone or computer.

  4. Any travel by NNRI staff out of the Spokane are must be approved by the board.  If travel is approved, NNRI staff is to avoid public transportation and will avoid riding in the same vehicle as another person.

  5. NNRI is not holding any in person educator workshops or student programs until guidance from local state agencies and the federal government changes. NNRI will not participate in events without Board approval.

  6. Due to the evolving nature of this situation and due to the fact that policies may need to change rapidly, NNRI board and staff will comply with all compulsory and voluntary measures as directed by government agencies.  This includes but is not limited to federal, state, and local governments.

  7. If NNRI staff or any of their direct contacts contracts the COVID-19 virus the full board shall be notified immediately.

  8. These policies shall remain in place until rescinded by the NNRI board.
